Three sets of twins just graduated from Wayzata High School. We thought it was so unique, we had to share!
Maddie & Ethan
Who’s the oldest? Ethan
What made you each decide on your college? Maddie decided on Mankato State University because it’s a good distance from home and I love the location. The campus feels like home and they have a good Elementary Education program which is what I want to pursue. Ethan decided on UW-Madison because of its well-known STEM programs and proximity to home.
Are you more similar or different from each other? We have the same kind of humor and were both involved in gymnastics, but our personalities are very different. Ethan is more introverted while Maddie is more extroverted.
How was it having a twin in high school/growing up with a twin? Growing up with a twin was pretty much like having a sibling that was also your best friend. We have gone through everything together from being in the same kindergarten class, having the same appointments, and celebrating our birthday together, so we have learned to put up with each other–for the most part. Having a twin in high school was especially nice because we could really relate to each other.
Tom & Matt
Who’s the oldest? Matt
Where are you going to college? Both decided on Mankato State University.
Are you more similar or different from each other? Matt and I are very similar. We are the most identical set of twins I know. We enjoy the same things, we both don’t like the same things. I would say Matt and I are the definition of identical twins.
How was it having a twin in high school/growing up with a twin? I loved having Matt in the same high school as me, we would do group projects together and get them done faster than everybody else. The biggest benefit of having a twin is always having your best friend around. Matt and I are super close and we are never alone.
Kimball & Ashton
Who’s the oldest? Ashton
What made you each decide on your college? Ashton wanted to play lacrosse where she felt there was a close knit community with a successful program. She wanted to be able to make her mark! Kimball is outgoing and wanted to enjoy big game days while at a larger school. On top of that, both of them take their studies seriously and want schools that will aid in finding success.
Are you more similar or different from each other? We are both very different!!
How was it having a twin in high school/growing up with a twin? It was nice having someone who was going through the same experience. Growing up and now, we enjoy a lot of the same things. Having a person to share memories with is always a plus and could make events/activities more enjoyable! In high school, we always had someone to help with writing papers, studying for the next big test, or picking classes! We wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.
