This recipe from the Kohala Coast on the Big Island of Hawaii will transport you to your favorite tropical spot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 5 lbs. chicken thighs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1 cup miso
  • 1 cup beer

DIRECTIONS

  • Mix the sugar, soy sauce, miso and beer.
  • Soak chicken in the sauce overnight in the refrigerator.
  • Place the chicken thighs on a baking pan and bake for 45 minutes in a 350 oven.
  • Serve with sticky rice and a salad.
