LocalTies will publish updated information regarding our local retailers and services as we receive it directly from the business owners.
In connecting with owners Katie and Gavin Salsbery, they were happy to share what’s happening at Urban Eve Salon & Boutique.
When is Urban Eve projected to open for inside services?
Our boutique is open this week from 9am to 5pm. We will be closed on Friday, May 29th for team training. Our salon opens on June 1st! We will be expanding to 7 days and increasing our hours of operation. We will be open from 6:30am to 11pm Monday through Friday. Saturday and Sunday will be normal business hours.
What changes can guests expect to see?
Staying safe… We will be operating at a 25% occupancy level and will limit our guests to 10 at one time in the building. We will have a sanitation station when you check in for your appointment, guests will need to bring a behind the ear mask for their appointment. We have suspended our beverage bar and are asking our guests to only bring their essentials: keys, phone, payment. Our stylists will be wearing face masks, gloves and changing their smocks after each salon guest visit. Each guests cape is laundered after each use. We also have added 15 additional minutes to each appointment to give us ample time to sanitize between guest appointments. We also will be cleaning key touch points as often as possible. Dressing rooms are sanitized after each guest. On our salon floor we have distanced our chairs so that they will be at least six feet between stations and we’ve also engineered our shampoo area where we will have dividers between shampoo bowls for added safety.” Our reopening plan will limit one guest per stylist in the building at a time and 3 boutique shoppers. Urban Eve will text or call each service guest to enter the salon when their stylist is ready to see them. Most importantly you can expect our team to reconnect with our guests and spread joy into their hearts and souls. We are so excited to see you!
Will there be guidelines that guests should know, such as any mask requirement or payment by card only?
Yes. Your health is our number one priority. Being a company that is held to the State of Minnesota board of cosmetology and cdc standards, we are mindful of protecting our team and our guests during our COVID-19 reopening. Every guest who comes into the building will be required to wear a mask. We ask that our service guests bring a behind the ear mask. We appreciate your understanding as we follow our safety policies and added changes. For guests who would like to book an appointment, call our team and we can assist you. We are asking for you to give us 48 hours to respond back to you during this unprecedented high volume of incoming appointment requests.
